Zoom in/Zoom out – Zooms in and out in the work area
Fit view to window – Adjusts the size of the work area so that all positions, margins etc. fit in
Show previews – Enables/disables previews on the main work area. Having this item enabled makes your work easier but previews take a little time to generate
Show rulers – Shows/hides rulers at the sides of the work area. These rulers are also useful to edit dimensions of positions
Additional options Show guidelines and Lock guidelines are related to Guidelines. These can be created by dragging from rulers (so the rulers must be displayed). Guidelines already created can be selected and then edited or deleted (if they are not locked).
The Snap to option applies to both custom objects and positions – the latter only in free layout mode, it is not possible to move positions in tabular layout. If multiple positions or objects are selected, the position or object you are moving, i.e., the one where the cursor is located, is snapped to. In addition to guidelines, you can set snap to Automatic guidelines, which are all others positions (their frame and bleed) – that is, event those positions, that are far from the selected position. Snap to Positions trim and bleed – unlike Automatic guidelines, this only applies to positions to which the selected position approaches. You can also set snap to the edges of the sheet and trim of the entire imposition.
