Plug-in Installation

Montax Imposer is available as a standalone application, independent of other products, or as a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. The plug-in edition is for Adobe Acrobat 6 and later, including Acrobat DC and 64-bit versions (not Acrobat Reader). If you have chosen this edition, please read the following information.

Adobe Acrobat is not included with this installation and must be pre-installed on the computer before installing Montax Imposer.

Montax Imposer will be installed into Adobe Acrobat folder. You have the option to select the folder if you have installed multiple versions of Adobe Acrobat, and Montax will be used in the selected version. The Acrobat folder is typically “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat X.0”, where X represents the version of Acrobat.

Montax Imposer must be run from Adobe Acrobat by clicking on the toolbar “Other” or from the menu “Plugins” clicking on “Montax Imposer”. It is not possible to start Montax directly from windows START menu.

Montax Imposer will be available after a new start of Adobe Acrobat after installing Montax (all Acrobat windows must be closed). If you reinstall Montax with a new version, it is not necessary to uninstall the previous version, but you must close all opened Acrobat windows (including windows e.g. in web browser) before installing it. When Acrobat is running, Montax cannot be reinstalled or uninstalled!
